Day 6: The Happiness challenge

I could not return to Lagos yesterday as planned, we got in late so trust Alhaji and Alhaja to not let me set out on the express at Night. Right now, I’m at my brother’s house in my favorite spot in the house; one particular  bedroom which has all this design thing going on and I’ve unconsciously tagged it my room whenever I visit. It’s about 3 am and I actually woke up to pee but it seems like this is the perfect time to put up the post as I don’t know how early or late I might get into Lagos. How are you guys? I noticed that the post from yesterday brought out the mushiness in you people and I was just reading the comments like: Wawuu, so you people have romance inside you like this. Lol. I know I brought Religion into this yesterday and I’ll be doing that again today. If you know me, you should know how much I strive to be better and how I appreciate those who don’t discard the fear of their God in all their doings. Today, we are going to pray for ourselves and all the people we have appreciated in the past few days. I know we pray steady, oh yes but this is different in a special way. I am of the opinion that the sincerest form of love comes from those who actually take time to pray for you. Do you know that the friend or colleague or spouse you appreciated days back might be going through something that is making them very sad? Oh yh, they might be. People don’t always share things that are breaking them and the best gift you can offer might just be prayer. Someone doesn’t even have to be going through anything *which I doubt because we all have our battles). So, after praying for yourself today, reach out to any or many or all of your Friends and loved ones, tell them that you seek God’s ease for them for whatever the are going through, you wish them genuine happiness and you pray that It will be beautiful soon. By the way, Martin delivered my name doodle to me and I’m still feeling so good about it. Martin is this wonderful artist that does wonders with just a black pen and plain space. If you are on my Snapchat, I’m sure you would have seen my journey with him when he was creating magic at my workplace. He is @ufo_south on Twitter and Instagram and He is making a name doodle for one of our winners! Peep my Name doodle and some of his works below: img-20161104-wa0044   1478404954002 14784050376671478405059417 1478404995871

The way it makes me sad when my friends are in need or going through something that I can’t help them with. Prayers sometimes is my only form of help and I’m always glad I can do that. So many people going through a lot of things that they can’t talk to ppl about. I can always pray the Allah ease thier affairs. May he comfort them and grant them genuine happiness. I already sent this to my closest ppl. I’m sure they’ll be wondering what is wrong with me this week. Lol.

Praying for friends, family and just about anybody that crosses my mind has been an habit fir about two years now. I just mutter a word of prayers for anybody that crosses my mind from time to time. In fact I use to justify my habit of not calling or keeping in touch.

Before I leave a comment, there was no picture yesterday😳😳

I’m glad I’m participating in this challenge. Reading this post reminds me of the challenge where we had to call our friends to appreciate them. And my friend sent me a message later to say how happy and blessed that I remembered him that day and he was so sure this month is going to be a good month.

Thank you Tolani for making me remember these little things I don’t seem to count as a blessing and be appreciative about them. Safe journey back to Lagos.

    P.S: I wish I can draw🤔

    • November 6, 2016

Hi sis. The challenge is simply a way to make us revive old habits or cultivate new ones to make our selves happy and keep it that way. So, each day we are told to do something and we try to do it then share details of how it went, so that we can call grow in the journey together. Please let me know if you want more explanation

It’s just something which I found myself doing all day, after praying for myself, I reach out to all ummah (those that I know and those that I don’t know). May God be with us and grant us the best in both worlds.

Prayer is very key. You just might not know whose most in need of it when you speak to God about it.

As for the name doodle, pls I won’t mind having mine *winks*.

The doodles are nice, is he doing it on a wall or something. Today’s challenge is something I do every time. I pray God answers our prayers, ease our affairs and grant us our heart desires. Ameen

Yes, he does on walls, papers and other things. amin!

  9. November 6, 2016

Nothing works like prayers. I pray everyday for the will of God to be done in the lives of my friends and family members. God is sovereign.

  10. November 6, 2016

Hmmmmm! This is one thing I don’t do often. I won’t lie. Except something is wrong with that friend at that moment before I remember to pray for him/her. (May Allah make it easy for us). Praying for Allah’s mercy on all my friends, families and the ummah.
That reminds me, haven’t heard from my friend (viv) for two days and didn’t see her comments here either. I pray she is doing fine

Prayer is the key. It reaches where we can’t. May God keep our friends and families safe, make them happy and grant their heart desires.

These doodles are nice. Great work!

I always remember this saying “honor the guests of your heart” . So I say a prayer for anyone who comes across my mind. Today I prayed for some of my people & asked Allah to put their affairs in order.

I don’t even have a list of people I pray for. I pray for people as they cross my mind. But then, there are people who are very dear to me and I always try my best to pray for them everyday. My fav line is “Ya Allah, please perfect all that concerns XYZ” I feel like that covers a lot already. 😀

prayer is really the key to everything, Jesus started with prayer and end up with prayer so we need to emulate him. so today i pray for all my friends, family, relations Mylove and All the new people i have meet in this place especially the orgniser That as our faces are different, so our heart intentions Are. That Almighty God will grant each and every one of us our heart desires In Jesus Name.
