Day 24: The November Happiness Challenge
Jubril was a part of the challenge last year and he gave out a very cute shirt from his clothing line. He is giving something out again this year and I am really happy about how very much better he has grown. Hard work pays and he is a living example of that. His cuts are so well laid and I’d recognize them everywhere because they are absolutely unique. I mean , if it is not a Mr Jay Couture outfit, it can never be like it. He can be contacted on Instagram @mrjay_couture or via Whatsapp : 08160868752. A lucky reader will get this:
We will be reading from a male blogger today, for the first time since this challenge started. I saw his page on Instagram and I reached out to him for a collaboration. He sent me his happiness tip way before the Challenge started and I have been waiting for the perfect day to put it up. Now, that day is here. His name is Jubril Atanda and he is namesakes with the person giving us the lovely cloth I talked about earlier (Deliberate move, I am detailed like that, lol). He blogs about his many travels and other things here
So the year is running out fast like a wind, the winter wind comes knocking day after day. I sit
in my office thinking oh Jubril, next year you plan to finish your Ph.D. and get life started
with and I pause and think: the year is actually ending, next year March I would be 27, how
happy have I been my entire 27 years on earth?
So today I tell a short story about myself. Life hasn’t been all rosy and sweet for me. It’s been
a tough hurdle passing through high school. University and all life challenges. But one thing
that has kept me going, is when I think about the happy me. I mean am just one happy kid that
does get all wangled up about life struggles a times. I believe so much in my future and that
keeps me happy all the time.
Life in itself is just a race, we keep running till we are 6 foot under the ground. I have had the
opportunity to meet different people from various nationalities, tribes, and culture and what
keeps us bonding together is staying happy with each other.
Ralph Marston says “Happiness is a choice – not a result. Nothing will make you happy until
you choose to be happy. No person will make you happy unless you decide to be happy. Your
happiness will not come to you. It can only come from you.”
I have continued to stay happy in my life not because everything seems good but because I
know everything will come good at the end. I try to carry happiness along with me wherever I
go, this brings me closer to myself and thoughts, and also I tend to let go of the things that
keep me sad and I embrace what makes me happy which is my family, and my love for
fashion and cooking.
Stay true to yourself and you shall find happiness within. I leave you with these pictures :
Jubril wants us to stay true to ourselves and choose happiness! Please , my darlings, Choose Happiness today, It is the best decision you would ever make because I tell you, you deserve to be happy.
I’ll be back. BOS
