Day 21 : The November Happiness Challenge
I can’t believe it’s day 21 already. Didn’t we start this challenge like yesterday? Wow.
How are you all doing? I hope we are achieving our aim of being happy all through this month and beyond? We should all remember that the aim of this is to make us inculcate habits that will make us smile and attain genuine happiness, not just in November but everyday. This might not be easy as life has its way of throwing many things at us but with faith and determination, we will understand that happiness is indeed a state of mind.
Sometime ago, I was in a very bad state of mind and I used to get into mood swings a lot. People who know me understand how emotional I can get especially when things aren’t going the way I want. I was just really grumpy but I still managed to create a facade of being okay. Then, I had someone reach out to me via Twitter. She said she was going through something and seeing my tweets, blog posts or even just seeing my face pop up on her timeline gives her great joy because she enjoys how full of life I am.
You know, it was a good moment for me, knowing that people out there actually see me as a source of inspiration even when I’m in my low moods. This was not the first time I would get messages like this and they all just form together to pass one deep message to me : “I have to keep inspiring people”. This is the same way I feel when the challenge goes up late and I get numerous messages from people via different platforms asking me what’s happening and how they have been looking forward to the post for the day. This is really huge to me and I’ll never take it for granted.
Today, we are going to inspire/encourage someone in one way or the other. We are going to reach out to someone and tell them to hang in there, that they should not give up because the light is just there at the end of the Tunnel and it gets dark before morning . Just reach out to someone and give them some words to lighten up their day. Make them feel better than they feel at the moment and let them know that everything will be fine. You never can tell, You might just be saving a life.
I’ll be back. BOS
