I pray about the most random things.
No jokes, you won’t believe the things I pray about. Dear God, let this outfit bang. Let the Taxify car have Ac. Let there be plenty food to go round at this event I’m attending. And so on.
Some weeks back, W had an appointment and was almost running late. Then, he couldn’t find the car key. We all began to search. We searched all the rooms and kitchen and corridors and all. Even the most unthinkable places were ransacked . It wasn’t pleasant at all especially because time was running and he really had to be somewhere.
We were all so tired with the stress of searching and how it looked like we weren’t going to see it. I then silently started praying that God should help us to search the right place to find it. I mouthed the prayers and almost immediately after, I went to the bed and tried to raise it up, I couldn’t do it myself so I asked W to help with it, he did and viola! The key was there. I was so happy, I actually did a happy dance. F must have put it there at a point.
I strongly believed that the prayer I said was what helped in finding it, and I shared with W who also agreed. This is one of such instances where I prayed and immediately got it answered. I believe so much in prayers and I say them anywhere and everytime. Call me Iya Adura.
I know that things can get very discouraging and it’d seem like our prayers aren’t being answered. It happens to the best of us. But you know how I manage these situations? I remind myself that a No is an answered prayer too. And if it is beneficial for me, God will grant it to me.
Today, we are going to pray for ourselves and loved ones. It doesn’t have to be a lengthy one or with a particular process.. Just do it as you are right now, and make it heartfelt. May it be granted, and may you be content with it .
I leave you with this smiling picture of me, as always.
I’ll be back. OBA

I particularly love this one. Prayers are very very important. May the Almighty answer all our prayers.

Overtime, I’ve learned that muttering a word of prayer means you’re winning the devil who doesn’t want you to pray at all. So I pray as often as it crosses my mind to pray just to win the devil. Muttering, “Lord, I’m grateful” countless times daily as become my mantra.

I love this mantra. And oh so nice to think of prayer as winning the devil. That angle actually makes sense
