Day 20 : The November Happiness Challenge

Today, we will be reading from Hussainat, a lady who I admire for how creative she is.
She writes:
My name is Hussainat  and I am a 25-year-old multi-diverse creative in the fashion industry. In simpler terms, I am a stylist, fashion illustrator, fashion designer and photographer.
Happiness has always been a part of me and I’ve been described as a ‘ball of happiness’ by people around me. I don’t take this for granted and I’ve come to count this as one of the many blessings from God.
Staying happy is not a chore for me because I easily detach myself from people and situations that put me down. This is not to say I don’t get sad/unhappy, however, I am able to easily move away from negative situations by ignoring and finding joy in the smallest things.
Although this may seem easy, being detached from negativity sometimes comes with a little quirk of not taking people seriously most of the time. Also, I find it hard to not deeply understand the concept of unhappiness so I try to reach out and put myself in people’s shoes. I have discovered that taking walks, breathing and leaving the chaos of our daily lives helps people attain a form of happiness.
My happiness routine involves taking care of people and making them happy, teaching, fabric hunting and seeing people look good in what I make them wear.
Basically, we need to learn to move away from negativity and see life for how short and transient it really is.
Nice tip from Hussainat. She wants us to shun all negativity today and always because this has worked for her in attaining happiness. What is that negative thought holding you down today? Delete it totally and get your mind filled with Positive thoughts.
I’ll be back. BOS

This right here is really hard for me sometimes as I’m really attached to things and people that really matter to me. Let’s just say sometimes I’m blind even though I call it *giving benefit of doubt”.
