The November Happiness Challenge

Day 25: The November Happiness Challenge 2020

November 25, 2020
I have said this particular story to some people I know, but I won’t get tired of saying it, because of how significant it is , and because it is the direct representation of someone coming through for you at the last minute when all other options fail. I had planned for a makeup artiste to do my face for our wedding and this included the registry wedding , two days before the Nikkah. A day before the registry event, the makeup artiste cancelled on me after I had relied so much on her and had thought it was a done deal. I was quite disturbed and anxious, because I really didn’t know where I would start from, searching for a MUA at that time, and one that would do the job well. My partner kept telling me to relax and that he didn’t even mind if I took my natural face to the event but I side eyed him and told him no, this day is special and I want to be made up. After making efforts to get the lady to change her mind and I realized it wasn’t going to work, I reached out to Titilola and explained my predicament to her, I told her I needed my face done and it had to be early the next morning because the event was timed. She told me that she had left her store and didn’t leave with the makeup box, but she would make sure to leave her house very early the next morning to pick the box and head to my house. Note that she didn’t give any vibe that she was displeased that I didn’t commission her for the role in the first place, she didn’t complain that I knew she was a professional makeup artiste but didn’t give her the job of being my MUA for my big day, she didn’t say anything along that line, she understood. She only told me she would be at my place and that she would get it done. I had barely woken up the next morning when she arrived. Only God knows what time she left her house because I know she had to go to her store first. She did the makeup for me and she did it perfectly. She also did finishing touches to my mum’s Gele and all these she did with calmness and humour. She then went ahead to offer to drop me at the location since she was with me already and the other people could come in the other cars. This babe had other appointments but she just made sure to do all these to ensure that my big day was perfect and wasn’t ruined in any way. When I asked her what my bill was for the service, you can already guess what she said; She asked me not to worry at all, that it was her own little way of contributing to the event. I had to tell that story for you to know that the appreciation and love I feel for her is deep. If I was asked to describe her, I’d describe her as a very warm and accommodating person. Titilola is that friend that you can brag about to your friends because once they meet her, they can’t help but fall in love with her bubbly personality. The way she carries everyone along and is always close to laughter, the way she is so welcoming and with the most endearing charisma, how many of such attributes do I want to speak of? Titi is the CEO of EwaAladire, an Afrocentric brand that is into sales of Adire fabrics, ready to wear Adire , body tops and more. She has exquisite outfits in her catalogue, and you can contact her for any Kampala need you have, either in bulk or In pieces. And have I spoken about her beauty? Well, I do not need to talk much, you can see for yourself anytime you meet her but I’d give you a glimpse. The babe fine pieces! ( forgive my use of language).
See babe noww
She is so respectful and my mum loves her for this. My mum would say; ah Titi ma n yo moyan, o de maa fi ese mejeeji kunle ni ( Titi is always so warm and welcoming, and she would go down on her kneels to greet). We know our mothers are big on respect and I can boldly say that Titi has gotten a distinction in this regard, in my mum’s scorebooks. Thanks for being my friend, Titilola. Thanks for being reliable and full of positive vibes. I’m thankful that I have you in my corner and I plan to keep you close for a long time. May God continue to journey with you, and may He grant all your beneficial desires. You are a good person, and you deserve all the goodness. Today, we are going to plan an outing with a friend, loved one, family or colleague. I said plan, because it is probably not feasible to get the outing done today. But you can plan it, and plan it you will. That person you’ve been procrastinating a meet up with? That outing you’ve been wanting to do? The excuses you’ve been coming up with? Today is the day you go above these and make an actual plan you’d stick with. Even if there were no existing plans, decide that you’d go out with someone probably over this weekend or next, and stick by it, make every possible move to get it actualized. Darling, you need that outing. It doesn’t have to be anything expensive, it could be a picnic or its likes, just do it! I’ll be back .

    Beautiful Titilola!
She had us laughing the entire time; even made jokes when we arrived at the registry.
May God continually bless and keep her.

Plan, I shall, and go out, I will.
Thank you for the challenge 👊
