Happiness Challenge Inspiration Life as I see it

Day 26 : The November Happiness Challenge

November 26, 2017

Hello everyone.

Tried out the Smoothie yet? I had plans to do mine today but I was too tired after doing so much cooking. I will find time to try out all the recipes Barakah gave us In sha Allah.

I remember that we sang last year. More like, I tried to sing for everyone and I recommended a particular song which was quite meaningful to me. I was tagged by someone on Twitter recently on the same song and I just knew we had to do this again. The song we did last year was : I hope you dance by Lee Ann Womack and I will repeat the lyrics again for those who did not participate last year:

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
GOD forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance….I hope you dance.

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance,
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Livin’ might mean takin’ chances but they’re worth takin’,
Lovin’ might be a mistake but it’s worth makin’,
Don’t let some hell bent heart leave you bitter,
When you come close to sellin’ out reconsider,
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance….I hope you dance.
I hope you dance….I hope you dance.
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along,
Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone.)

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

Dance….I hope you dance.
I hope you dance….I hope you dance.
I hope you dance….I hope you dance..
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along
Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone).

Today, I want everyone to share that one song (or more ) that inspires them everytime. Tell us the title of the song and who sang it so that we can share in the awesomeness. Also, if you want to hear me sing to you, just send a message today, I’ll do my best to do just that.

I’ll be back. BOS

    “I hope you dance”
You introduced this song last challenge and it’s been like my bible since then.
Copied and pasted it on my memo and re-read when I’m sad, depressed or anything. It lifts me up.
    Thank you Omotolani

I really really love the lyrics to this song. Funny thing is I’ve never heard it before. I just google the lyrics whenever I need it. Aside this, I’m not sure I have any song that inspires me like that. I just listen to music to dance and belt my croaked voice loud lol
