Day 10 : The Happiness Challenge

November 10, 2016

It’s a beautiful day and I’m feeling so elated. Asides this constant headache, my day has been amazing so far and I hope it goes on like that till the end of the day. I got lots of compliments yesterday from you, my wonderful readers and I was just blushing anyhow.Thank you and God bless you.

Today,we are going to write down the thing(s) that have made us happy this week.  Just think about it, I’m sure something has made you smile deeply this week or just made you squeal with laughter. You need to remember that thing and hold on to it or relive it,tell us about it too if you don’t mind, let’s share in the joy. Don’t forget, it’s mostly the little things. For me, I’ve had lots of laughter this week o, The most recent one was my outing yesterday with my housemate and her boss, we went to watch her boss play late Night football at a club in Ikoyi  and we just kept laughing at how they were all running on the field with so much energy. It was short but I couldn’t stop laughing, blame that on my ever bubbly housemate. I wouldn’t mind having that moment again!

Aeesha is 22 today. If you know me well, there are some names you will never miss and Aeesha is one of them. I met her at the Mosque some years ago when I was running my Masters programme at the University of Ibadan. This very pretty lady just came into the Mosque and sat excitedly beside me. She said she had been seeing me on her explore page on Instagram and she even saw my picture the previous day. We bonded from that and the rest they say, is history. It wasn’t a long time before she became my very own baby with whom I am always well pleased . She is beautiful guys, wonderfully made with the best heart and kindness. The way she respects everyone around her regardless of their age or status and how she always watches out for people close to her will just make you fall in love with her all over. Every member of my family won’t stop saying nice things about her because her amazing personality follows her everywhere. Whenever it seems like I’m in a bad mood, she automatically becomes moody herself and goes like : ‘I feel you are not happy and it’s making me sad because you deserve to be happy’. She is one of those people that make me say : Alhamdulilah.  Just look at us!

This same lady has a business she runs too. A number of us are already familiar with the name Hijabs by Aesha on Instagram, yes she runs that. She sells the prettiest scarves, maxis, hats, hijabs and the likes. She does hijab styling to and will be at your call if you have a wedding and you need someone to help style the Bride and bridesmaids. Check her page out @hijabs_by_aesha on Instagram or send her a mail : hijabsbyaesha@gmail.com. She sells scarves like the ones used in the pictures below:

What made be really happy all week would be my baby’s quick recovery. She contacted a bad cough and seeing her little body shake while every session of the ailment prevailed made me feel helpless.
Poor child would squeeze a smile in between and try to play but the cough wasn’t having it.
It was so bad that after taking her to the hospital I wasn’t satisfied with the medication , I expected some kind of magic. So I Googled coughing for a 13 week old and I read that it sometimes lasted up to two weeks. I started praying and alas, I began to notice improvements in 2DAYS! By day 3 she was already sleeping soundly and she began to feed well again.

I mentioned earlier that I was writing exams. One of my papers was really bad and this friend of mine cheered me up, made me laugh so hard I ‘cried’ (won’t change results but I felt better afterwards) and Alhamdulilah the one after was a lot better

Last week (because it’s past 1am Sunday already ) Had a good laugh when my sister called to tell me that the sausages she bought looked like they had extra wrapper on them. It was so funny cus she started “peeling” the sausages one by one 😂😂😂😂 after peeling more than half of the sausages Sha, she called to ask if it’s okay to peel. I ended up laughing throughout the conversation, instead of correcting her. (Agbaya beglhaviour, I know)
