The Happiness Challenge : Day 1

November 1, 2016

I am so excited about this. I think it is because we have done this before and it yielded good results. Also, the mere thought of me having to write non stop for thirty days, is making me squeal with delight. It’s been such a long year. Actually, it’s been kind of fast, but long still in happenings and activities.

For the Newbies, Last year November, a friend suggested that we embark on a 30 day journey where we get to set up activities for ourselves everyday and check on one another to make sure we actually did those things, She blogs here . I then picked the baton and did a challenge on this blog, People were quite responsive and we even reached an audience larger than I imagined. We were able to help ourselves to engage in meaningful activities and to inculcate habits that have helped us better in this year. You can  check the one from last year here .  It is important to let you know that I also share pictures during this challenge, If not every day, You’ll be getting pictures from me every other day which could be myself or just any beautiful picture I come across. This is me today, for instance.

I also know you want to ask how to go about winning these. Well, I’m still trying to figure out if i want to give many people at will or have runners up with different packages. The bottom line is, Only those who participate will be picked and only comments would show how much you have participated, Hence, if I were you, I would position myself in the comment section for the next thirty days!

The Challenge begins…

Today, we will be listing the things in our lives that are making us happy at the moment. (similar to day 1 last year right? yes, that’s deliberate) Be it recently gotten things, or humans who have stayed, or jobs that we have, or random occurrences that get us by, Everything! Relax, take a deep breath and Count your blessings! Yes, I’ll be calling it that. Do list them in the Comment section, let’s see what makes your world rock. Don’t forget that the little things also count!

I’ll be back tomorrow, and the next, and the next, God willing! BOS

Alhamdullilahi. This is such an awesome opportunity to even read motivating growths of other people. Thanks you.
Well, life itself should be celebrated and be appreciated. Allah has been beyond Merciful and is still being.
I have met a lot of inspiring people this year that has impacted me positively, beyond happy for that.
Finished my M.Sc at the age of 20… Starting Phd at the age of 21… that also is something of great joy.
I have really grown when it comes to my write ups even though I wish there are blogs out there that would feature the writing of other upcoming talented people who doesn’t have the zeal to start blogging.
I see Cooking as enchanting and being able to create new recipes that is being used by people and having different individuals look up to my guide when it come to certain steps in cooking can just be very overwhelming.
Islam itself is beautiful as each day is an opportunity to strive even harder that I was.
My parents laughter alone in the small four corners of our suiting room and my sibling scream disagreeing with one another over who will get the bigger chicken tight always brings tears to my eyes, Family is everything and more. Looking after ourselves, supporting one another in challenging times and loving one another in the weakest moment… NEED I say more at how content and satisfying life is.
There are uncountable things to be grateful and thankful for.
All in All, Allah is the most Beneficient and Merciful.
    With Allah, things get better.

Happy and grateful to God for sparing our lives even tho sometime not too long ago we were tested and even though I never for one second thought I’d lose anyone, I won’t deny the fact that me and other members of my family were scared shitless during the entire trying time. Alhamdulilah for good health and the good life.

I’m thankful for my name, weird I know. My name means wisdom and I cannot begin to even explain how some wise decisions I made has saved my life this year. I guess I should be thankful to my parents too for naming me.

Anyways, back to the story, I had so many financial constraints this year that if not for past investments and decisions I made I don’t know what would have happened. At the time I was doing them, people taught they were unnecessary and I watched as my friends shopped away which was quite tempting but guess what when all the issues came this year, I had to bear them all on my own.

So yeah, I am very grateful for wisdom 🙂

I don’t know why I’ve been postponing checking your blog! 🙈 Let me see if I can win something for the first time.

I’m grateful for a lot of things Alhamdulillah….I’m grateful for my deen and my consciousness of right and wrong, for constantly trying to improve myself. I’m grateful for my family and the love they show me, for the few friends I have (old ones and the unexpected new ones). Grateful for my finally accepting that I’m not much of a risk taker and hoping to break out of my shell soon. I’m grateful for my writing that has reached a small audience through social media, grateful for the people who take time to reach out and say my pieces inspire them. And I’m grateful for life, that I’m still here and I have a chance of making something out of it.
